ABOUT ME

 

Hello there and welcome to Darkstar Productions.

My name’s Casilda, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, and I'm a Visual Effects Artist at Wetafx Studios in Wellington by day and a contractor for independent clients and businesses by night. (Not really by night, haha). When I'm not in a dark studio working on films at Wetafx, you can find me behind a camera or in my own studio working on professional cinematography, mastering film edits, and creating visual effects. As a contractor, I’ve been professionally executing film productions and motion graphics for about five years now and I mainly specialise in Cinematography, 2D/2.5D Visual Effects, & 2D Animation Motion Graphics.

Since childhood, I’ve had a fascination for science, film, and
exploring the technical and creative aspects of visual effects through a scientific lens. Therefore, you can find me either behind the camera or in a dark studio making things disappear with Rotoscoping!

Throughout my career, I have developed my Cinematography, VFX Visual Effects, & Motion Graphics repertoire from working in the Film Industry and with clients. My career goals are to continue developing my technical aptitude and contribute to an industry that fuses science, technology, and creativity to produce innovative digital media.
